Starting the Season Off Right

As we were decorating the Christmas tree tonight, we were listening to Christmas songs. My favorite came on and, after we were done decorating, I had to go in and play it again. I love this song so much and feel that it is the very definition of what the season is all about. Christ and the love that God has for us. This version by Martina McBride is also my favorite because it has an air of reverence to it. The video has the words of the song and I think it is so important to pay attention to those words. They are so beautiful and mean so much to us as children of God.
My favorite part is when it says:
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;...
So beautiful. Please enjoy and welcome the wonderful spirit of the season.

I LOVE this song. So much! Our assistant pastor sings it every year around Christmas and it is so powerful it literally brings people to tears. I had to laugh because they even put it in the bulletin last Sunday (Pastor Felipe will be singing "Oh Holy Night" on Dec 20th) because so many people ask around this time of year. I can guarantee you it will be a packed house. :)
