Dry Spell

As you can tell, I'm going through a blogging dry spell. We all experience it. I do have a lot I could blog about, but it's hard to find the time, paired with the energy, and the coherent thought to post anything other than the occasional update. I know it won't last. It's just that life is taking up most of my energy and intellect, and nerves and patience to boot, to have to worry about writing about it. So, please excuse the hiatus. But I will be back with something worthy of updating you on. Hope you're all enjoying your holidays and each other's company. Happy New Year!

Merry CHRISTmas

Just wanted to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas. I hope you all travel safely, enjoy those you love, and, most of all, remember in your hearts the reason for the day, the birth of Christ, our Lord. Love you.

Stolen from Not Always Right.com

The Fourth Is Not Strong With This One
Hotel Traverse City, MI, USA

Me: “Thank you for calling the [hotel]. How may I direct your call?”

Customer: *in a British accent* “I need a room for tonight.”

Me: “I’m sorry, sir, but we are booked.”

Customer: “Why?”

Me: “It’s the 4th of July. We’re always booked on the 4th.”

Customer: “I know the date! Why are you booked?”

Me: “Um, it’s July 4th.”

Customer: “Listen, just give me a room!”

Me: “I’m sorry sir, we are sold out. The entire town is sold out.”

Customer: “The entire town? Why?”

Me: “Sir, it’s the 4th of July. Independence day.”

Customer: “Independence from what?”

Me: “Um, England.”

Customer: “Oh bloody h***!” *click*

Time is a figment of the imagination.

I know, I know. The date stamp on my pics is off. I'll try to remember to fix that next time I pick up the camera. Thanks for pointing it out.

It's Snow!!!

I bet you didn't know that it snows down here in NM. Sure, it's not comparable to the snow in Utah, which comes hard and often. But, once in a while, we get surprised. In Utah, we would drop the kids off at school in a foot of snow. Here, it snows 7 or 8 inches, and school is cancelled. And since I am working for the school district, work was cancelled too. But the timing was fortuitous because Little Man has been running a fever and it peaked today at 102.2. Thankfully, the doctor was able to see him and he prescribed some medicine which should help.

But, before all the fever drama, Little Man and Tiny enjoyed a little of the snow. He was too little to enjoy it last year, but he didn't want to leave it when it was time to come in. Tiny has been hoping for snow for a while now. Looks like she got her wish.
